The Kings Head, Yoxford is a charming freehouse country pub in east coastal Suffolk that lies alongside the A12, proving a popular stop for those exploring the coastal paths, RSPB nature reserves of Aldeburgh, Orford and Minsmere.
The village of Yoxford is surrounded by the parkland of three stunning country houses in an area known as the “Garden of Suffolk”. The name derives from a ford of the River Yox where oxen could once pass. Yoxford is well known for its antique shops and for providing the setting for a Britten opera. With a connection to royalty also, Lady Katherine Grey, granddaughter of Henry VIII’s sister Mary Tudor, was once a resident of Yoxford.
The warm atmosphere inside lends itself to our wooden floors, a classic wood burner nestled inside a brick fireplace coupled with our classic and tasteful decor. We offer two bars, a large bar just off the restaurant seating area and a Village bar on the other side of the pub.
A separate toilet is available for diasbled customers which includes baby changing facilities.
